Junior Civil/Structural Engineer

BBA is seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing U.S. team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams on projects in the mining, industrial, energy, renewable power, and chemical sectors. Type of position: Regular Responsibilities Support the civil and structural design of industrial and infrastructure projects from preliminary studies through detailed engineering Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design memoranda, and construction documentation Assist with the design of civil infrastructure systems including site development, drainage, utility layouts, and access infrastructure Support the structural design of concrete foundations, steel and reinforced concrete structures, equipment support structures, pipe racks, platforms, industrial structural systems, and building structural components Assist in structural analysis and preparation of design calculations in accordance with applicable U.S. codes and standards Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, process, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines Prepare quantity take-offs, technical specifications, material requisitions, and construction packages Review and coordinate engineering deliverables prepared by designers and drafters Participate in project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and technical coordination Support construction activities through site visits, field reviews, and responding to technical queries Participate in client meetings and contribute to technical discussions Contribute to engineering quality, continuous improvement, and best practices Professional Qualities and Values Results-driven and proactive Eager to learn and develop technically Collaborative and team-oriented Curious, analytical, and solution-focused Adaptable in a dynamic project environment Detail-oriented with strong engineering rigor Committed to safety, quality, and ethical practice Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus, or Structural Engineering Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation or eligibility for registration in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction 3+ years of relevant experience in civil and/or structural engineering Experience in industrial, mining, infrastructure, energy, or related sectors is considered an asset Familiarity with structural design codes and engineering standards applicable in North America Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD / Revit, structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, or similar), and Mathcad or equivalent engineering calculation tools Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents Strong communication and teamwork skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Availability for occasional travel to project sites Benefits Annual premium program for regular employees Time bank Group insurance plan from the first day of employment 401(k) retirement plan Annual paid time off (PTO) Statutory holidays Premium for employee referrals Interesting growth opportunities to match your ambitions A caring environment where everyone's ideas are listened to and there is no perception of hierarchy A collaborative team that shares its ideas and knowledge Opportunity for site work: an amazing career accelerator Participation in our firm's major projects up to 2030, including BBA's carbon neutrality and 30% women on our team Custom training and development plans #J-18808-Ljbffr
