Responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while managing a small development team and maintaining direct stakeholder relationships with trading desks.Key Responsibilities:Lead a team of 2-3 developers in delivering trading tools and enhancements using Python, React, SQL, and CI/CD frameworksPartner directly with trading desks to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions in an agile mannerMentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across the US regionCollaborate with global trading tools teams in Japan, AEJ, and EMEA regionsEnsure system reliability, performance, and compliance with trading desk operational requirementsManage stakeholder expectations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical business usersWork core trading hours (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST) with flexibility for market events and global coordinationSkills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:5+ years experience in financial services technology, preferably in trading or prime servicesStrong proficiency in Python and SQLCI/CD practices and React development a plusProven team leadership and mentoring experienceExcellent communication skills with ability to work directly with business stakeholdersExperience in agile development methodologiesUnderstanding of trading workflows and financial marketsNomura CompetenciesExplore Insights & VisionIdentify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.Making Strategic DecisionsEvaluate all the options for resolving the problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations.Inspire Entrepreneurship in PeopleInspire team members through effective communication of ideas and motivate them to actively enhance productivity.Elevate Organizational CapabilityEngage proactively in professional development and enhance team productivity through the promotion of knowledge sharing.InclusionFoster a culture of inclusion and psychological safety in the workplace and cultivate a "Risk Culture" (Challenge, Escalate and Respect).*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
