Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: TelemetryDiscipline: RNStart Date: 04/13/2026Duration: 12 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Nights, 3x12hrsHours: 36 hrs/wkStart Date: Apr 13, 2026Length: 12 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry night shift position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 1 year of experience.DetailsHospital-based Cardiac Telemetry unit with 16 beds and an average daily census of 16Patient population includes adults to geriatrics presenting with post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular diseasePeritoneal dialysis experience is utilized in this rolePerforms telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler proceduresNurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation and communicationNight shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:006 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule blockNo call responsibilitiesFloating within the facility and scope of practice as needed12-week contractRequirementsActive GA or Compact RN license requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum 1 year of RN experience requiredEpic EMR experience requiredCopies of all required certifications must be provided for considerationTwo supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for considerationAdditional InformationFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyLocal candidates are acceptedNavy blue scrubs requiredRTO maximum is 7 days per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignmentRTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12)Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work 2 and may request 1 holiday off for approvalMajor holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a travelerNo special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule changes are permittedCandidates will undergo a clinical screening review prior to manager considerationFull compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time to avoid a potential 2-week start date delayAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-687374.
