ACCOUNTING MANAGER - FULL TIIME

DescriptionSummary/ObjectiveManage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operationCreate new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policiesMonitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountabilityDevelop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teamsImplement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedulesEssential FunctionsAssists in the preparation of the Clinic's monthly consolidated financial statements and cost center expense allocations.Manages the daily operations of the department to provide high quality accounting support services.Compiles work RVUs and Office Arrival statistics, by physician, for P&L reporting purposes.Calculates production bonuses for the employed physicians. Prepares audit schedules upon request.Generate and review journal entries and allocations.Process and manipulate large volumes of transactional data.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position manages the accounting operations employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees within the department.Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis job is primarily sedentary, but does require the ability to travel to other locations to meet with staff and managers.Lifting of no more than 10 pounds required.Ability to operate a personal computer and use a computer for long periods of time. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.Ability to multi-task and change priorities in a typically high stress environment.TravelNo travel is expected for this position other than occasional travel to corporate sites regarding employee relations issues.RequirementsRequired Education and ExperienceMinimum AA DegreePreferred Education And ExperienceBA Accounting preferredAdditional Eligibility QualificationsComputer Literacy (strong Excel and Accounting software background preferredExperience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, etc.Schedule Flexibility (position will demand the need to stay late to meet payroll or other types of deadlines, as applicable)Professional Communication Skills (position demands significant physician, director and administrative interaction, both verbal and written)Experience with software such as Epic, Allscripts, UKG, Paylocity preferred.
