With 25 years of public sector experience, PSL empowers agencies at every level of government to enhance data governance and build secure, accessible digital environments.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Senior Cloud & AI Engineer to join our team in a hybrid capacity supporting public sector clients in the Washington D.C. area. Day-to-day responsibilities include enhancing and expanding PSL's FedRAMP-authorized TransAccess GovCloud Records platform, integrating AI-driven capabilities into existing cloud-hosted government systems, supporting technical delivery on active federal and state/local contracts, and contributing engineering depth to new contract pursuits. The Senior Cloud & AI Engineer works closely with PSL's CTO and is expected to own technical delivery from design through production — building, integrating, automating, documenting, and supporting real systems for real clients.Qualifications6+years of hands-on software, cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering experience with a consistent record of shipping production systemsStrong cloud engineering experience; AWS required, additional cloud platform experience (Azure, GCP) a plusProficiency in Python and experience building APIs, integrations, and automated workflowsExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD pipeline managementPractical applied AI experience with managed services such as Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, SageMaker, Textract, or equivalent (RAG, embeddings, document intelligence)Strong documentation and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a small-team environmentExperience with or familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or federal/state security compliance environments is highly desirablePrior work in a federal, state, or local government IT services environment preferredCloud certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred
