Fixed Assets Accountant

Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accountant to manage and maintain accurate records of the company's capital assets. This role will support the accounting team by overseeing the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, reconciliation, and audit support. The ideal candidate will have strong ERP experience and a solid understanding of fixed asset accounting principles.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completenessRecord asset additions, disposals, transfers, and retirementsCalculate and post monthly depreciation in accordance with company policyPerform reconciliations between the fixed asset subledger and general ledgerAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to fixed assetsIdentify and resolve discrepancies, including clean-up of legacy asset data if neededPartner with finance, operations, and procurement teams on asset-related mattersQualifications2–5+ years of experience in fixed assets or general accountingStrong understanding of capitalization, depreciation, and asset lifecycle managementProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience with asset management modules or subledgers
