About the Opportunity: The Lead Data Scientist will play a key role in advancing the organization’s product offerings by applying expertise in data science, machine learning, generative AI, and natural language processing. This position focuses on developing and enhancing analytical solutions to address healthcare-related problems and support business growth. The role involves collaboration with multiple teams to bring innovative data science products to market and improve existing solutions, directly impacting the organization''s ability to meet client needs.3. Responsibilities:Research, develop, deploy, and maintain AI and machine learning models following industry best practicesUtilize and enhance generative AI models for internal and external use casesCollaborate with Product, Business Development, ML Engineering, and IT teams to launch and support data science productsPromote best practices and continuous improvement within the data science team through planning, audits, peer review, and coaching4. Requirements:10+ years of professional experience applying AI/ML to commercial data science solutionsExpertise in Electronic Health Records or unstructured data analysisProficient in supervised and unsupervised learning methods, model validation, deep learning architectures, and NLP algorithmsStrong knowledge of NLP and generative AI, including fine-tuning and deploying large language modelsHands-on experience building generative AI applicationsExpert level Python programming skills, with experience in R and/or SQLExperienced with cloud-based model development platforms such as Databricks and associated toolsUnderstanding of software engineering practices, including version control and testingFamiliarity with ML engineering and operations tools and concepts5.
