The selected candidates will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings.We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Embedded Software Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD.As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer (Integrated Product Team Lead) within the Software and Digital Technologies Organization you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Using Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning and a culture of automation.Roles and Responsibilities:Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during the EMD phaseLead staffing efforts for each team, ensuring appropriate skill mix and coveragePlan and coordinate bench time priorities across engineering program initiativesManage and maintain Jira boards to track progress and issues, documenting and resolving blockers impacting team performanceDevelop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecastsMaintain and communicate capability delivery schedulesSupport proposal development and new program acquisition effortsInterpret statements of work assigned by program leadershipWork with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirementsBrief internal and external customer leadership on progress of work assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, Master's degree with 10 years of experience, Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.U.S Citizenship is requiredActive DoD Secret Clearance requiredAbility to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start5 years of experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projectsExperience working in C/C++Proficiency in working with real-time embedded software.Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on an EMD program as a systems or software engineerDemonstrated knowledge of radar mode developmentFluency with developing and executing project schedulesExperience with Atlassian tool suiteProficient in using advance MS Excel macros, functions, and pivotsNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
