QC Inspector I

QC Inspector ILocation: Birmingham Metro Area, AL (Onsite) Duration: 12 months (Possible extension) Pay rate range: $30 $32/hr on w2 (All inclusive)The Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our facility in Bessemer, AL. This individual will play a critical role with the ramp up of a new factory. This Individual will Owns product integrity through comprehensive inspection programs, supplier quality management, and scrap control systems.Responsibilities:Perform quality inspections using precision measurement toolsDevelop and maintain inspection procedures and quality standardsMonitor processes using SPC and control chartsCommunicate quality issues and drive corrective actionsConduct incoming material and supplier quality auditsSupport root cause analysis, scrap reduction, and process improvementsDocument quality data and prepare reportsQualifications:1-3 years of experience in quality/inspection within a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication preferred)Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Knowledge of SPC, quality systems, and inspection processesExperience with audits and corrective actionsFamiliarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, and process optimizationStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills (5-Why, Fishbone)Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teamsHands-on experience with tools and basic assembly processesSheet metal fabrication experience is a plusAbility to lift up to 50 lbsExcellent spoken and written communication skills. Spanish skills are a plus.Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
