We are partnering with a rapidly growing specialty services / construction-related organization seeking a hands-on Interim Controller / Finance Transformation Lead to help stabilize, modernize, and build out the company’s accounting and finance infrastructure.This is a highly visible, onsite contract engagement ideal for a finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys building structure, improving visibility, and leading transformation initiatives.Key Responsibilities: • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close process • Establish accounting policies, procedures, and reporting cadence • Build and mentor an internal accounting and finance team • Assess and improve outsourced accounting processes and structure • Support movement toward GAAP-compliant financial reporting • Partner with operations leadership on job costing, project reporting, and operational finance • Assist with cash forecasting, budgeting, and financial visibility initiatives • Support ERP evaluation, selection, and implementation efforts • Improve internal controls and overall finance infrastructure • Interface with ownership, banking partners, and external advisors as neededIdeal Background: • Prior Controller or CFO experience within construction, specialty contracting, industrial services, or project-based environments • Strong operational accounting and process improvement experience • Proven experience building or transforming accounting functions in high-growth middle-market companies • ERP implementation and finance transformation experience strongly preferred • Hands-on leadership style with a builder mentality • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically in lean environmentsTop 3 Keys to Success:Hands-on leadership with a builder mentalityStrong construction / project-based accounting experienceFinance transformation and ERP implementation expertiseThis engagement offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a rapidly scaling organization undergoing significant operational and financial transformation.
