Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Global IT Project Management Expert Project Manager Location & region: US, Philadelphia, PA Job PurposePrimary purpose of the role briefly describe in one or two sentences why the job exists:As part of the IT Delivery Transformation Team, the main purpose of this position will be delivering end-to-end projects for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS) and Integration for Contract Logistics in North America (United States, Canada and Mexico).The role will involve leading IT Projects by supporting the Business Project Lead and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, Transportation, Engineering, Implementation, Finance, IT) to deliver high-quality solutions for Contract Logistics customers.As part of this position, a very specific focus will be on Blue Yonder Discrete implementations for a very large customer.This position requires proven high-level skills in Project Management and a very strong understanding of logistics operations. Key AccountabilitiesMain areas of focus and accountability of the role detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:Project ManagementTake a lead role in all IT Project Management activities (content, planning, budget), aligned with Logistics standard approach and best practices.Team LeadershipFoster a collaborative and results-driven environment, ensuring IT team members are aligned with project goals and timelines.Discrete implementationOversee deployment of Discrete solutions and automation, ensuring seamless implementation for a very large customer.CommunicationAct as the primary IT point of contact for project stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.Stakeholders ManagementBuild strong connections with customers and internal business stakeholders to ensure project success within a pro-active relationship.Change ManagementMonitor post-implementation performance and address, during Hypercare, any issues or enhancements as needed.Delivery & Quality AssuranceEnsure IT Teams deliver required IT solutions with a very high-level of quality and testing to avoid any business disruptions. Key Working RelationshipsCustomers / Contract Logistics Operations: Daily interactionsAll Project Management activities (planning, content management, budget follow-up)Requirements gathering workshopsFeedback sessions on testing activities - System Integration testing (SIT) & User acceptance testing (UAT)Post-implementation support and troubleshooting.Internal Technical Teams (OMS / WMS / Transportation / Integration): Daily interactionsStatus meetings and progress reports.Coordination of resources and timelines.Post-go-live support handovers.Solution Implementers: Daily interactionsStatus meetings and progress reports.Documentation follow-upsDelivery Transformation Manager: Weekly interactionsStatus meetings and progress reports.Escalation process when needed.Global Transformation Program team: Weekly interactionsAlignment on Project Management approach and standardsShare best practices with other Project ManagersThe most significant and most common working relationships relating to the role. Quantify resources wherever possible and detail the impact the role has on these resources: Knowledge, Experience & SkillsThe knowledge, experience and skills required to undertake the level at a fully competent level:Essential DesirableEducation & QualificationsMaster (preferred) or Bachelor in Logistics and/or in Information TechnologyProject Management (PMI, Prince 2) certifications Any certifications in Leadership or Change ManagementExperienceMin. 5 years in IT project management, with a focus on WMS, OMS, and integration solutionsStrong logistics/supply chain knowledgeProven experience with Blue Yonder Discrete implementationExperience managing large-scale WMS automation projects Any technical experiences (development or configuration) on WMS solutions (preferably Manhattan).Technical knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and data integration technologiesSpecialist Knowledge & Skills Strong ability to manage concurrent projects simultaneouslyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Attention to details and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
