As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Controller to help lead our financial operations across our dealerships.This is a high-impact role working closely with ownership and leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and smart financial decision-making.What You’ll Do:Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements (OEM-compliant and on time)Provide clear insights on performance, trends, and profitabilityPartner with leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planningMonitor and reconcile general ledger, payables, reserves, and accountsEnsure compliance with tax regulations, reporting requirements, and auditsOversee internal controls, accounting processes, and system efficiencySupport department leaders with reporting and financial guidanceManage warranty receivables, rebates, and manufacturer accountsMaintain compliance with government agenciesAct as the point of contact for external auditorsMaintain internal books and finances Analyze financial transactionsWhat We’re Looking For:Strong accounting and financial reporting background (automotive experience is a plus)Detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger pictureComfortable working directly with leadership and influencing decisionsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experienceFluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)CPA preferredStrong background in DMS, Tekion strongly preferredExcellent written, verbal and collaboration skillsWhy Williams Auto Group:Family-owned, Charlotte-based since 1937A culture built on trust, transparency, and doing things the right wayOpportunity to make a real impact across multiple rooftopsCompetitive compensation and benefitsIf you’re looking for a role where your work actually drives the business—not just reports on it—we’d love to connect.
