The Senior Import Transportation Coordinator possesses an inquisitive mindset to investigate and resolve problem shipments and other aspects of freight management.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Instruct agent offices in the handling of Mohawk shipmentsBuild shipments according to customer requirementsOversee complex transportation moves and/or complex customer requirements (air consolidations, chassis pools, foreign-to-foreign shipments)Choose the most reliable and cost-effective service to meet customers' needsTrace and track shipments to their final destination via CargoWise (freight management system)Arrange clearance and delivery to customer facilitiesTake proactive and proper action whenever needed to avoid delays or problemsPrepare reports and/or advising clients of shipment statusIssue quotes to clientsRate files in accordance with client ratesAudit P&L statements & resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerFinalize files with billing charges, complete billing invoicesComplete additional duties as assignedDesired Skills/Experience:Associates or Bachelors Degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or other related field preferredSolid knowledge of International Transportation (Air & Ocean) as well as U.S. Customs & Border Protection and other Government agency regulations preferredStrong computer skills requiredExcellent communication skills required5+ years Import/Transportation experience preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be self-motivated and able to prioritizeMust possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and must be very detail orientedMust be able to resolve problems in all aspects of jobHave an open mind to accept changing work environmentMohawk Global is an equal opportunity employer.
