The Cosmetologist will provide hair cutting, styling, coloring, and basic hair treatment services to clients of all ages, following Supercuts service standards and safety protocols. Daily responsibilities include consulting with guests to understand their needs, recommending appropriate services and products, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation and salon environment. The role also involves educating clients on hair care routines, suggesting retail products, managing appointment flow, and supporting front-of-house tasks such as check-in, check-out, and light reception duties. Team collaboration, ongoing skills development, and adherence to health, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines are essential parts of this role.Qualifications Active state cosmetology license (or eligibility to obtain) and foundational skills in cutting, styling, blow-drying, and basic hair treatments.Experience or training in hair coloring, highlighting, and chemical services is preferred, with a willingness to follow brand techniques and standards.Strong client service and communication skills, including the ability to conduct effective consultations and provide clear product and service recommendations.Ability to maintain salon cleanliness, follow sanitation and safety protocols, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Comfort working with a diverse clientele, contributing positively to a team, and participating in ongoing education and skill-building opportunities.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior salon or customer-facing experience is an advantage but not required.
