Steel Fabricator

Job Description We are a general contractor who self performs structural steel fabrication located in Tempe Arizona. We are seeking a skilled metal fabricator to join our team. This role requires structural steel fabrication experience and welding to AWS industry standards. This role requires attention to detail producing fabricated components using various welding techniques and fabrication methods. Responsibilities: Interpret and read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to determine project specificationsMig and Tig Welding predominantly GMAW and FCAWG (dual shield)Forklift operation and rigging of heavy structural beams and columnsProduce material cut lists and operate machinery such as band saws, iron workers and plasma cutters.Operations of hand tools and grinders producing fine finishesMaintain a safe, clean, and organized working environmentCollaborate as a team to effectively meet schedules and report to senior management REQUIREMENTS: Proven minimum 5 years of structural steel fabrication experienceEffectively work as part of a team and have strong communication skillsMust be able to read and speak English and interpret shop drawings with basic mathematical calculationsRecognized industry qualifications, such as OSHA, welding, rigging, and forklift operation, are preferredDrug screen prior to hire Advantages but not required: AWS welding knowledgeCompany DescriptionAt SDB, Inc., we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset and the most important contributors to our continued growth and success.Company DescriptionAt SDB, Inc., we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset and the most important contributors to our continued growth and success.
