Assembly Technician

This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.What will you be doing?This position will be a key member of the Product Assembly team. Duties include:Assembly, disassembly, inspecting and packing of electrical and mechanical componentsFit and assemble components into complete unitsConfer with engineers or others on the team to resolve assembly problemsMaintain a clean work area and ensure safe operationsSoldering of electronicsOther duties as assignedWhat skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?This position will require the following skillsets and experience:Must be able to obtain a clearance through the DoD security background investigationAbility to follow assembly instructions and basic mechanical skillsAbility to read technical drawingsAbility to sustain repetitive tasksMust be able to work in a physical capacity, standing, with repetitive liftingPass drug and alcohol testingHigh standard of quality and efficiencyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsMust be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordinglyBasic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Must be a US CitizenHigh School diploma requiredPast or present military personnel are encouraged to applyRead about our benefits here: Our Benefits - UTRS | Thinking ForwardUTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
