We are committed to achieving excellence in Environmental, Health & Safety through our Mission Zero initiative.Job SummaryUnder the direction of engineering staff, supports all phases of the manufacturing process, including the setup, operation, testing, and maintenance of rubber molding equipment, tools, and machinery. Assists in process development and troubleshooting, participates in engineering trials, and provides operator training to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.Job DutiesPerform work associated with automation improvements, new plant layouts, installation, calibration and operation of production machinesSet up, adjust and operate machinery in support of the production process, as neededTest and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation, perform routine maintenance and fix standard malfunctionsRead and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop order to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operationDevise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products, such as machinery or equipment and measuring instrumentsComplete all necessary documents fully and accuratelyAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned Experience and Education Perform work under direct supervisionHandle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staffPossess beginning to working knowledge of rubber injection moldingRequire accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experienceProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) for communication, documentation, and data analysis.
