Provisioning Business Analyst
Summary: The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting role-based provisioning initiatives across the health system, ensuring appropriate user access to clinical and business applications. This role partners with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to define, analyze, and implement role-based access controls that align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows.The analyst will play a key role in requirements gathering, process design, and implementation support for provisioning workflows across enterprise systems, including electronic health records such as Cerner Millennium.Requirements Gathering & AnalysisConduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather business and technical requirementsDevelop and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements (FRDs), and user storiesPerform gap analyses between current-state and future-state provisioning workflowsTranslate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teamsRole-Based Provisioning & IAM SupportSupport the design and implementation of role-based access control (RBAC) models across clinical and enterprise systemsPartner with IAM and security teams to define roles, access profiles, and provisioning rulesAssist in aligning access controls with job functions, least-privilege principles, and compliance requirementsSupport user access reviews, audit readiness, and remediation effortsProcess Modeling & OptimizationDocument current-state and future-state workflows using process modeling techniquesIdentify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements for provisioning and access managementSupport standardization of access request and approval workflows across the organizationData Analysis & ValidationAnalyze access and provisioning data to identify inconsistencies or risksSupport validation of role design and access assignmentsAssist in testing and validating provisioning workflows and system integrationsTools & CollaborationUtilize tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, track progress, and document processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, clinical operations, compliance, and securitySupport project tracking, status reporting, and communication across stakeholdersRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a healthcare IT environmentFamiliarity with clinical applications and healthcare workflowsExperience with electronic health record systems such as Cerner Millennium, Epic Systems, or Meditech (general understanding acceptable)Strong experience in requirements gathering and documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories)Demonstrated ability to conduct gap analyses and stakeholder interviewsExperience with business process modeling and workflow documentationStrong analytical skills, including data interpretation and validationExperience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platformsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
