Sr Software Engineer
Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Commerce Growth Messaging team, you will shape the messaging backbone that underpins customer communications across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. You’ll own the design and evolution of large-scale, multi-tenant services that endure traffic spikes and global expansion. You will partner with cross-functional teams to meet international needs while delivering high-quality, scalable software. Key requirementsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent work experience5+ years of backend development experienceProven track record in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systemsExperience taking ownership of features and delivering projects end-to-endExcellent verbal and written communication, bridging technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to analyze deep technical components while maintaining a view of overall system architecturestrong communicationleadershipcross-functional collaborationJava or other modern backend languagescloud services: EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS, KinesisRelational and NoSQL databases
