Facility & Equipment Lead
Position Overview:The Facility & Equipment Lead is responsible for the overall maintenance, reliability, and operational readiness of the facility and all manufacturing equipment. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, manages equipment performance, and addresses all facility-related issues, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and construction projects. The position ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, supports continuous production operations, and drives process improvements to maximize uptime, reduce operational risks, and maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Manage facility maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operations.Coordinate and manage construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects.Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, logs, and documentation for equipment and facility systems.Manage vendor and contractor relationships for facility services, equipment maintenance, and capital projects.Maintain spare parts inventory for critical equipment and facility systems.Develop and manage the facility and equipment maintenance budget, including cost control initiatives.Respond promptly to facility emergencies, including power outages, plumbing failures, or safety hazards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new equipment installation and facility expansion.Maintain compliance with fire safety, emergency systems, and life safety codes.Conduct risk assessments for facility and equipment hazards and implement mitigation measures.Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and equipment to improve facility performance and maintenance efficiency.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance technicians and equipment engineers.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and facility operations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in facility management, equipment maintenance, or manufacturing operations.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building infrastructure.Proven experience managing manufacturing equipment maintenance and reliability programs.Experience coordinating construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects.Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices, including predictive maintenance techniques.Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements.Familiarity with fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and life safety codes.Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) or ERP systems for tracking work orders and equipment history.Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and execution.Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing maintenance or facility teams.Experience supporting new equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.Proficiency in analyzing maintenance KPIs such as equipment uptime, MTTR, and cost per repair.Ability to perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for facility and equipment hazards.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred.DisclaimerOur goal is to be a recognized leader in the industry while providing a great workplace for employees.
