Mining Engineer

This full-time role works closely with operations, geology, maintenance, and environmental teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining practices while meeting production goals and regulatory standards.Key responsibilities include:Developing short- and long-term mine plansDesigning pit layouts, haul roads, and blasting patternsSupporting production scheduling and reserve modelingConducting geotechnical and slope stability evaluationsMonitoring drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling performanceSupporting safety, environmental, and compliance initiativesCollaborating cross-functionally to improve operational performanceQualified candidates should have:A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline3–7+ years of mining engineering experienceKnowledge of surface mining operations and mine planning softwareStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skillsPreferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.Experience working at remote mine sites.Familiarity with drilling and blasting design and optimization.Experience supporting cement plant raw material requirements and quality control.Experience with greenfield mining, brownfield mining, pioneering, exploration and reclamation.This position is primarily site-based and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to operational success and continuous improvement initiatives.
