Application Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking an Application Systems Analyst with extensive experience supporting and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role will be responsible for analyzing business needs, supporting application enhancements, assisting with system design and configuration, and contributing to the maintenance and improvement of software systems and internal business applications. The ideal candidate combines strong functional application support experience with technical troubleshooting, testing, and solution evaluation skills. Key Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day support, administration, and configuration for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Assist in researching, designing, and developing software systems, internal applications, and business solutions. Support the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of new and existing software programs, including modifying prior code or configurations for new business purposes. Perform application configuration changes and evaluate solution options to support evolving operational and business requirements. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established best practices, when needed to support application enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and production issues across supported environments. Perform engineering-level testing to identify defects, validate system behavior, and confirm software quality. Document software issues, support root cause analysis, and verify fixes through structured testing and validation. Monitor internal and external system performance and help ensure system availability, reliability, and usability. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, recommend improvements, and implement practical solutions. Assist with ongoing maintenance, upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives related to Business Central and other internal applications. Required Qualifications:Extensive experience supporting and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Experience in an Application Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar application support role. Strong understanding of application support, software maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and systems analysis. Experience with application configuration, issue resolution, and supporting production environments. Ability to assist with software development, code maintenance, or technical enhancements as needed. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business users.
