Travel School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Melvindale, Michigan

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in a travel assignment based in Melvindale, MI, serving students ages 3-7. This role focuses on early childhood intervention and special education support, including work with a diverse group of young learners across several classroom settings.Primary responsibilities include conducting new child find evaluations for children ages 3-5 and providing targeted therapy services to Early Childhood Special Education classes, an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom for kindergarten and first grade, and cross-categorical classes for kindergarten through second grade. The position supports the development of language, communication, and social skills for a varied caseload.Key qualifications and experience sought:Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC preferredExperience working with pediatric populations in schools or healthcare settingsFamiliarity with teletherapy practices is beneficialAbility to manage caseloads involving Early Childhood Special Education and ASD studentsCompletion or active status of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is acceptableStrong communication and collaboration skills for working with classroom teams and familiesThis position offers a consistent school day schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the opportunity for contract renewal into the 2026-2027 school year.
