Location: HoustonDuration: 12 months + extensionOverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with deep trading domain expertise to join a high-performing technology team supporting large-scale futures trading systems. This role requires strong hands-on engineering capabilities combined with strong knowledge of trading workflows, risk systems, and quantitative infrastructure.You will play a critical role in designing and building scalable risk, position management, and back-testing services that support enterprise-grade trading operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and enhance high-performance Python-based trading servicesImplement scalable risk management, position management, and back-testing systems for large futures trading environmentsDevelop distributed systems deployed in cloud-native environmentsOptimize services for performance, scalability, and reliabilityManage and orchestrate containerized workloads using KubernetesPartner closely with traders, quants, and stakeholders to translate trading requirements into scalable technical solutionsEnsure robust testing, monitoring, and production stabilityRequired ExperienceStrong Python development experience in production trading environmentsDeep domain knowledge of trading systems, specifically futures marketsProven experience implementing risk, position, and back-test services at scaleStrong experience with AWS (cloud architecture, deployment, scaling, infrastructure management)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including pod management and container orchestrationExperience building distributed, high-availability systemsStrong understanding of system performance tuning and optimizationPreferred ExperienceExperience working within large futures or commodities trading platformsFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and real-time market data systemsBackground in high-performance or low-latency systemsJ-18808-Ljbffr
