Sr. Control Panel Tech

Job Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure seamless operation of the facility and equipment through efficient facility management.Assist with machinery changeovers for different projects.Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.Replace mechanical wear parts as needed.Read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications.Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.Install, repair, and/or replace AC/DC motors, drives, starters, or relays.Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, support structures, and fiber-optic or lighting systems.Perform preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems.Install electrical circuits, panels, conduits, and devices in compliance with NEC standards.Correct wiring and connections on equipment controls.Mentor, coach, and manage Electrical Apprentice employees as needed.Supervise a team of 4 maintenance technicians.Education Requirements:Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering or a similar discipline, preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:5+ years of experience as a control panel technician, repair manager, or in a related role.5+ years of experience in the installation and maintenance of control panels and electrical systems.Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for control panels and electrical systems.Understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed.Food manufacturing experience is highly sought after.
