Conveyor Component Specialist

You will be responsible for preparing products for shipment, completing final assembly of products, and painting packaging of products. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and a quality product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Extensive use of tools associated with the assigned job task. Pay attention to quality and help ensure that the customer receives only the highest quality product. Establish good communications and working rapport with supervisors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered. Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used. Read a tape measure and understand engineered drawings. Lift 50 pounds. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Operate a forklift. Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift with overtime as required by the company. Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers. Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by the company. Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area. Available to work overtime as required by the company. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and extreme heat and cold. The employee must stand for long periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Education and/or Experience: One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to satisfactorily complete company forklift certification.
