Shipping Associate
PRIMARY FUNCTION:Primarily responsible for identifying incoming loaded trucks and assisting with dumper and loader positions. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS: Under general supervision, identify incoming, loaded trucks and communicate to appropriate personnelMonitor offal trailers and report when they will need to be moved; ensure all valves on offal trailers are closedPick up strays on property and hanging penRelieve dumper position when regular associate on breakLoad product onto outgoing trucksFollow all safety and quality proceduresWork in compliance with all company policies, GMP’s, FSMA regulations and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulationsAll other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not requiredEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Basic computer knowledge and usage skillsAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivateAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hoursSound work ethic, honesty and moral characterSAFETY REQUIREMENTS:Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
