A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM • Floating to other units required • Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed • Must wear navy blue scrubs • Work in 64-bed Med Surg Stroke Stepdown unit • Care for adult patients with common diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis patients, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, general med surg, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues • Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes • 2 years of Med Surg experience with stroke stepdown experience required • Travel experience required • EPIC EMR experience required • Required certifications: Current AHA BLS, NIHSS (NIH required for this unit and can be obtained prior to start) • Active NY nursing license required with all active RN licenses verified through NURSYS • Skills checklist matching specialty required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility providing specialized care for stroke patients and complex medical conditions.
