Serving as both a technical lead and a high-level client representative, you will oversee the digital coordination, fabrication, and installation of complex architectural environments.This isn't just about oversight; it’s about stewardship. You will ensure that creative intent survives the transition to the built environment by managing advanced construction technologies and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) workflows. You are the expert voice in the room, providing constructability guidance to architects, contractors, and internal creatives to ensure seamless execution from the first sketch to the final bolt.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Ambassadorship: Act as GLGR’s engineering authority in high-stakes meetings with clients, architects, and fabrication partners.Digital Orchestration: Lead the BIM/VDC environment, leveraging coordination software to align design vision with field execution.Gap Bridging: Facilitate the flow between conceptual design and shop drawings, resolving technical discrepancies before they reach the site.Model-Based Insight: Drive workflows for clash detection, fabrication readiness, and installation planning to mitigate risk and ensure precision.Constructability Oversight: Review specialty assemblies and custom fabrications for performance, feasibility, and compliance.Process Architecture: Establish and maintain digital standards—including modeling protocols and QA/QC processes—to elevate GLGR’s technical delivery.Agile Problem Solving: Rapidly troubleshoot technical roadblocks to keep projects on schedule without compromising design integrity.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).Experience: 3–7+ years in BIM/VDC coordination, digital fabrication, or complex architectural project delivery.Technical Toolset: Familiarity and ideally experience with Revit, Navisworks, Rhino, and/or SketchUp, alongside coordination platforms like Revizto, ACC, or Bluebeam.Communication: Elite client-facing skills with the ability to translate "technical speak" into actionable insights for creative teams.Travel: Ability to travel frequently between our Portland headquarters and our client base in Omaha, NE. Midwest based candidates will also be considered.Preferred AssetsExperience in experiential agencies, high-end retail, or exhibit fabrication.Familiarity with CNC machining, millwork, and digitally-driven fabrication workflows.Industry certifications (Autodesk, Procore, etc.).Core CompetenciesEngineering Judgment: A deep-seated intuition for how things are built.Creative Resourcefulness: The ability to find technical solutions that protect the "soul" of a design.Professional Presence: Confidence and clarity when representing the brand to external stakeholders.Proactive Collaboration: A "win-together" mentality that thrives in fast-paced environments.
