Procurement Specialist
Title: Procurement SpecialistLocation: Wall Township, NJ areaSchedule: M-F Full TimeType: Direct HireResponsibilitiesResponsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this position will work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.Conduct thorough market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers of raw materials for production and finished products.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive rates and favorable terms.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and potential suppliers, and stay current on industry best practices.Maintains knowledge of commodities, sources of supply, diversity opportunities, and market conditions that may impact future procurement.Collaborates effectively with all corporate departments: Accounting, QA, Production, Planning, and Customer Service, to realize sourcing goals and to ensure qualified suppliers are available to support the needs of the business.Maintains open communication and effective working relationships.Experience in prioritizing initiatives, allocating resources effectively, and delivering results within specified timelines.Obtains information, documents, and data to execute high-quality project management and assists with preparing various reports, presentations, and documentation.Perform other job-related functions as assigned.RequirementsBilingual English/Spanishvendor identificationcapability assessment and selectionnew item sourcing (finished goods, raw materials, and supplies)new item specificationscost management and cost savings initiatives experienceBachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing raw materials in a manufacturing environment.Highly developed interpersonal skills with exceptional written and verbal communication.Comprehensive cost modeling and “should-cost” estimate analysis.Experience establishing and negotiating vendor purchasing contracts & agreements.Experience in working with cross-functional teams and creating a collaborative environment.Computer proficiency on all MS Office applications with high proficiency in Excel.#M3
