We look forward to evaluating your application.Position DescriptionDescriptionA Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs the hands-on aspect of preventative maintenance and repairs of heavy duty vehicles (26,000+ lbs) as well as coordinates the teams of mechanics and ensures the timely completion of repairs. Persons in these roles will possess a working knowledge of the types of heavy equipment used within their industry and are prepared to make repairs to a variety of heavy duty vocational trucks but not limited to other CMV's.Position RequirementsGeneral Responsibilities:Possess working knowledge of leadership management skillsMaintain maintenance records and documentation in accordance with government regulations and local policiesCreating schedules for preventative maintenanceAbility to order/receive partsMaintain an orderly parts room/areaMonitor and Maintain the following:BrakesTiresLube ServicesClutchesHydraulicsMinor welding and/or fabricationElectrical DiagnosticsAnnual periodical inspectionsA/C SystemsCoolant SystemsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneeMust be able to push, pull, and reachMust be able to work in high noise areasMust be able to lift 50 lbs and small partsEqual Opportunity Employer
