Mechanical Superintendent

Schlosser Company wants you managing our construction projects.Job responsibilities:We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Mechanical Superintendent must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.Key qualifications:Proven leadership to manage the field operationDevelop and maintain project schedules and budgetsProvide/review RFI's and submittalsAbility to perform mechanical take-offs.High knowledge of Blueprint comprehensionCost ManagementEffectively scheduling personnelCustomer orientated and dedicated to the organizationCoordination and oversight of installation of small and large diameter ductile iron piping.Coordination and oversight of installation of water treatment plant process equipment, i.e., large pumps, flocculators, mixers, sludge collectors, etc.Coordination and oversight of installation of wet and dry chemical feed systemsCoordination and oversight of installation of plumbing and HVAC systemsCoordination and oversight of installation of process instrumentation and controlsStartup and commissioning of water treatment plant equipment and systemsPrior management or supervisory experienceExtensive mechanical (piping) construction knowledgeSolid working knowledge of computer programs, including Word, Excel, Foxit PDF, Procore and OutlookExcellent problem solving and communication skills10 years overall experienceA family-owned company is where you feel most at home.
