Details Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit specializing in urology patients High acuity patient population with 1:6 or 1:7 patient ratios Proficiency with insulin and heparin drips required; experience with peritoneal dialysis is a plus Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) 36 or 48 hours per week are both acceptable Every other weekend (EOW) required Block booking available, except during holidays 13-week contract Requirements Active Alabama (AL) or Compact RN license in good standing required Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) 1–2 years of RN experience required; must be strong in high acuity care Demonstrated proficiency with insulin and heparin drips COVID vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file Flu shot required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file Two professional references required for consideration PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility; permanent address will be verified Scrub colors: all navy, or navy pants with a white top Orientations are held every other Monday Compliance documentation must be submitted at least one week prior to the start date American Traveler Job ID P-688453.
