Plant Operations Manager / GM - small Dallas Mfg company

Looking for the next step in your career ... the unmanned/drone sector offers tremendous growth!!GNR has been retained to identify a GM / PLANT MANAGER for a small but growing $15M publicly traded UAS/Drone manufacturer moving to Dallas, TX . They have an international presence and is known as a leading manufacturer of advanced drones & aerial imaging solutions for commercial and defense applications.Reporting to the COO, you'll build and manage a team to ensure safety and achieve production schedules to meet customer demands.They need a "hands-on" OPERATIONS leader to scale up this new facility from scratch and navigate challenges plus the acquisition of other companies' & products.You will own a growing P&L (approx. $10m+ today) and manage site operations, equipment needs for production, quality initiatives, procurement needs, some engineering resources, EH&S and product testing requirements.Be responsible for establishing best practices, procedures & policiesADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:Business Acumen with strong Operations – Production – Manufacturing experiences with assembly of electro-mechanical components, electronics etc...Capture KPIs and utilize lean tools to drive continuous improvement throughout the organizationEnsure that the site meets or exceeds established metrics and customer expectations for delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.Work closely with leadership team on forecasting future needs, inventory management, production schedules, and head off supply chain challengesDefine and implement best practices, procedures & policies for safe, smooth, and efficient operationsLead the development of a site quality system & ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100, FAA, OSHA & DOT complianceDegree w/ 8+ years in operations / engineering leadership experienceStrong communications skills, building, leading & mentoring team members, Executive team and interacting with customers and suppliers worldwide.Travel both Domestic & InternationalUS / Perm ResidentOFFERING: Visibility & Growth opportunity offering base salary + bonusLOCATION: North of DALLAS / PLANO, Texas area ( ** NO RELOCATION package )
