Technical Sales Representative - Mechanical / Building SystemsSt. Paul, MN (On-Site) | Direct Hire | $80,000-$90,000 Base + Incentives (OTE 140-150k)Konik is partnering with a leading provider of building systems and intelligent infrastructure solutions to add a Technical Sales Representative focused on developing new business within commercial and mission-critical environments.This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who brings mechanical systems exposure and a strong desire to build relationships, develop business, and grow into a high-earning technical sales professional. The organization offers structured training, strong mentorship, and one of the more aggressive incentive plans in the industry.ResponsibilitiesDrive new business development through proactive outreach to engineering firms, general contractors, and mechanical contractorsBuild and maintain long-term relationships with clients across commercial and mission-critical sectorsIdentify project opportunities early and position solutions throughout the sales cycleCollaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and technical solutionsManage a sales pipeline and track activity within CRM toolsAttend meetings, jobsite walk-throughs, and industry events to build market presenceSupport account management while prioritizing new client acquisitionQualifications2-5 years of experience in technical sales, construction, or mechanical systems-related rolesExposure to HVAC, mechanical systems, or building controls strongly preferredDemonstrated interest in sales and business developmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationshipsSelf-starter with a high level of initiative and accountabilityAbility to manage multiple opportunities with varying sales cyclesPreferred ExperienceExperience in HVAC, building automation, or controls systemsBackground working with contractors, engineers, or construction teamsFamiliarity with reading construction drawings or specificationsExperience using CRM tools such as SalesforceAdditional Role DetailsOffice located at: 953 Westgate Dr, Suite 101, St. Paul, MN 55114Territory focused on Minnesota and Western WisconsinPrimarily local travel with regular client meetings and industry engagementStructured training program with mentorship and ride-alongsRamp-up period of approximately 12 monthsLong sales cycles ranging from several months to multiple yearsStrong emphasis on business development and relationship buildingCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $80,000-$90,000Uncapped incentive plan with strong earning potential (OTE $140K-$150K+)Front-end and back-end commission structure tied to project bookings and completionComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plansCareer growth path within a stable, industry-leading organization
