Warehouse Operations AgentOur Auburn hub is seeking a Full-Time Warehouse Operations Agent to support daily warehouse and delivery operations. This role includes forklift operation, freight sorting, pallet building and wrapping, communicating with drivers, assisting with directing warehouse personnel, completing order entry on a computer, making deliveries, and using a smartphone application for barcode scanning.You must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 70 pounds.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with occasional overtime.Starting Pay: $21.00 per hourWPX is a logistics solutions company. At WPX, we design custom delivery solutions for clients operating in industries with unique supply chain requirements.Job DescriptionThe Operations Agent is responsible for the effective, efficient & timely movement of freight shipments and coordination of all courier operations within an assigned territory while maintaining the highest level of customer service. This position is an active participant in warehouse operations, handling inbound and outbound freight, sorting freight to appropriate routes, communicating with clients, and providing communication and direction to drivers and warehouse workers. The Operations Agent effectively performs assignments and work duties to meet established deadlines and performance goals in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReceive inbound shipments and accurately prepare and tender outbound shipmentsEnsure proper sorting and routing of all freight in assigned territoryMonitor handling of all ocean, air and ground freight to meet security protocolsMonitor pickup and delivery requests in assigned territory and assign to appropriate driverMonitor, direct and communicate with drivers to meet or exceed client service expectationsIdentify and resolve potential operational issues before they arise, and resolve operational issues within assigned territory as they ariseEstablish and maintain courteous business relationships with customers, and identify and resolve customer issues or complaintsEnsure drivers maintain accurate electronic and written records of daily pickups and deliveries capturing all freight carriedReview ongoing performance of driver delivery metrics and identify corrective actions neededEnsure all persons seeking access to building or freight are properly authorizedEnsure proper revenue capture for all freight in assigned territoryMaintain a professional appearance including proper uniformMaintain excellent work habits including attendance, punctuality & safety proceduresUse company mobile applications on a personal smartphone to complete operational tasks, including barcode scanning and communicationAdhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelinesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications (Skills, Knowledge And Abilities Required)High School diploma or equivalentTwo years' experience in logistics, courier, supply chain services, 3PL or LTL management preferredMust hold a current, valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR)Must meet insurance eligibility requirements for driving company vehiclesAble to safely operate a cargo van, medium duty box truck, and forkliftDemonstrated knowledge of courier logistics and transportation managementDemonstrated knowledge of local geographic area and roadwaysAble to read and follow roadmapsRoutinely and repeatedly push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 poundsAble to effectively engage, interface, and communicate with operations personnel, independent operators and customersAble to utilize effective time management and problem-solving skillsAble to clearly read, write, speak and understand EnglishAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions in all units of measureAble to be a team playerEstablish priorities and meet goals even under pressureMaintain a cheerful, courteous demeanor in difficult situationsMust be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekendsMust be able to prove eligibility for employment in the United StatesIf hired, you must be able to pass:Comprehensive background checkTSA Security Threat AssessmentDrug test prior to first day of workComputer SkillsAble to operate a handheld scanning device similar to a smartphoneAble to log in to a computer and read and compose emailAble to effectively use proprietary routing and dispatching softwareAble to effectively use Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Google Maps, etc.WPX is a drug free workplace, and all employees are subject to random drug tests.WPX is an equal opportunity employer
