If that mission resonates with you, keep reading.The Senior Infrastructure & Systems Engineer will be a key contributor within the IT Operations organization and is responsible for the reliability, security, and performance of primarily on-premises enterprise infrastructure. This role partners closely with IT leadership, development teams, and business stakeholders to support and enhance enterprise systems.The Senior Infrastructure & Systems Engineer reports directly to the Director of IT and works collaboratively across departments. This is a full-time on-site position at the Headquarters Office in Santa Barbara, CA.Core Responsibilities and Functions:Engineer, administer, and support enterprise infrastructure environments (primarily on-premises) including VMware and Microsoft platformsManage enterprise network infrastructure including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and perimeter securityDesign and maintain identity and access management systems (Active Directory, permissions, account lifecycle)Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange, and collaboration platforms (Teams, VoIP)Support enterprise applications, SQL environments, and business systemsOperate and continuously improve IT service management processes and workflowsMonitor system performance and proactively resolve infrastructure issuesPerform patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardeningSupport SIEM, logging, and security monitoring initiativesProvide advanced troubleshooting across systems, servers, and network infrastructureSupport remote workforce operations, including home network analysis when requiredCollaborate continuously with IT staff via Microsoft Teams for awareness of tasks and prioritiesMaintain documentation, SOPs, and operational standardsLead IT infrastructure and operational projects including planning, execution, and reportingConduct quarterly internal system and security auditsLead and support annual SOC and cybersecurity audit preparation, assessment, and remediationSupport compliance initiatives and regulatory audit requirementsCollaborate with vendors and internal stakeholdersMentor junior IT staffParticipate in on-call rotationOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience5–8+ years of enterprise infrastructure/systems engineering experienceStrong experience with VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365Strong understanding of enterprise networking conceptsExperience with scripting/automation (PowerShell preferred)Experience with monitoring tools and SIEM platformsExperience supporting audits, compliance, and security remediationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Certifications:Microsoft Certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, Identity & Security)VMware (VCP or equivalent)Cisco (CCNA or equivalent)CompTIA (Security+, Network+)Security certifications (CISSP, CySA+, or equivalent)ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project/service management certificationsPay:$125,000 – $165,000 annual, depending upon experience.Benefits:We value work/life balance.
