Maintain and repair all machinery. Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.Pasadena, TexasResponsibilitiesMaintain proper training certification (GTAW, SMAW, SAW, GTAW Aluminum, etc.)Be capable of reading all prints issued to welding departmentAccurately follow welding instructions to provide quality welds within the appropriate approved methodsAbility to use and operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forkliftsWork closely and communicate clearly with the other departments, Weld personnel, Supervisor and Lead ManQualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Knowledge and understand of electro machinery repair.Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks.Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.Must be able to work overtime when necessary.Must have 5 years or more of proven welding experience.Physical DemandsWhile performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThe above is intended to describe the general content of, and requirements for, the performance of this job.
