MEP Project Manager | Self-performing Residential Developer Qualifications of the MEP Project Manager | Self-performing Residential Developer: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ground-up construction with in-depth knowledge of MEP systemsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and or Construction ManagementIn-depth understanding of ground up construction and MEP tradesTechnical knowledge of various superstructure types, MEP system types and base building integrationExperience with BIM CoordinationExperienced with OSHA 30 and Procore, with proven experience managing trades on $30+ million projectsProficiency in CAD programs for takeoffs and construction detailing, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Blue BeamFamiliarity with NYC local codes, regulations and processesAbility to manage multiple jobs simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentExceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skillsProactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a drive for excellenceEffective communicator and possess strong leadership abilitiesDuties and Responsibilities of the MEP Project Manager | Self-performing Residential Developer:Oversee daily on-site supervision of MEP construction tasks, including third-party vendors and contractorsLead meetings with jobsite foremen.Assess MEP-related changes and coordination issues in fieldEnsure the project stays on schedule and within budget by managing approvals and deliveries, controlling costs, and reviewing submittal dataAssist in creating, maintaining, and implementing the project scheduleExamine construction documents to identify constructability issues related to MEPFPWork closely with Project Managers and the Design team to ensure correct coordinationLead BIM CoordinationGuide the CD coordination phase and review document packages for procurement.Create comprehensive scopes of work.Oversee the permit process with expeditor, DOB, MTA, and other relevant governmental entities.
