Overview As a Senior Structural Project Engineer, you will lead structural design efforts on small to medium projects and guide junior engineers on larger endeavors. You will evaluate and specify engineered systems, ensuring designs meet codes and client expectations. Working within a collaborative Buildings team, you’ll coordinate with architecture, interiors, and other disciplines to deliver projects on time and on budget. You’ll leverage your technical expertise to support construction administration and define design standards that advance sustainable, high-quality outcomes. Compensation / Benefitshealth, dental, and vision planswellness programretirement savings planemployee stock purchase programpaid time offtuition reimbursement ResponsibilitiesIndependently perform calculations and prepare drawings for small to medium projects.Develop job-specific specifications for less complex projects.Lead junior engineers on complex projects.Coordinate with architectural interiors and other engineering disciplines.Conduct construction administration: field observations, RFIs, submittal reviews, change orders evaluation.Use company and manufacturer software for calculations.Communicate design issues and solutions to design teams and Owner clients.Understand standard design processes and construction means/methods.Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver value.Assist in developing design standards. Key requirementsRequisite knowledge of structural design codes, standards, and building codesStrong knowledge of structural systems, seismic design, materials, and construction means/methodsEffective written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholdersAbility to review others’ work and manage time to meet budgets and schedulesStrong organizational skills and independent/team collaborationValid driver's license with good driving recordMinimum 6+ years of related experienceBachelor’s degree in engineering; PE required; Structural PE preferredExperience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit) and MS OfficeExperience with industry-standard structural software (CSI, RISA, RAM)Communication and presentationCollaboration and teamworkOrganizational and time-managementAutodesk RevitCSIRISA
