Sourcing Engineer (Bilingual Chinese)

As we expand our footprint in the U.S. market, we are looking for a talented and experienced Sourcing Engineer to support our growth in the home, houseware, building materials, and chemical sectors. This role will be critical in managing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and supporting new product initiatives across our global supply chain. Key Responsibilities: Source and develop suppliers in North America and globally to support new product and project requirements; build and maintain strong vendor relationships. Negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms with suppliers while ensuring production capacity and efficient logistics coordination. Manage sourcing timelines for new projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation. Coordinate drawing changes and confirmations between upstream suppliers and downstream customers. Evaluate supplier qualifications, conduct performance reviews, and lead supplier audits as needed. Monitor and analyze procurement costs, implement cost-saving strategies, and continuously seek sourcing optimization opportunities. Support product engineering by identifying and qualifying alternative materials or components to reduce cost and improve efficiency. Ensure purchased materials meet required quality standards and work closely with the quality assurance team on compliance and inspections. Stay informed of market trends, material costs, and industry dynamics to proactively adjust sourcing strategies. Generate procurement reports, vendor data analysis, and sourcing-related documentation to support business decision-making. Manage procurement contracts, terms, and agreements to mitigate legal and financial risks. Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes by providing sourcing feasibility assessments and cost analyses. Collaborate with the U.S. sales team to support new initiatives in the chemicals industry and B2B retail expansion. Qualifications: Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) is required. Minimum of 4 years of sourcing or procurement experience in home goods, houseware, building materials, or chemical industries. Strong supplier network in relevant categories. Prior experience in B2B sourcing is a plus. Proven expertise in full-cycle procurement management and supplier negotiation. In-depth understanding of the U.S. offline retail supply chain and distribution channels. （Walmart, Home Depot, Target local buying experience is a plus) Excellent communication, project management, and cost-control skills.
