Lead Person - 2nd Shift

Consider joining the Pennex family as a Production Lead Person - 2nd Shift in our York, PA location. The Production Lead Person has a key role in the operation of the Fabrication department. This position works closely with the production team to meet production targets, maintain quality standards, and optimize machine performance.This is a 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensures all departments follow all safety procedures and company policies.Serves as the back-up to the supervisor and ensures production schedules are maintained; assigns duties to operators during the shift.Provides support and training to employees on equipment setup procedures and operates machinery as needed, ensuring all equipment is properly configured for efficient and accurate production runs.Motivates teams with goals and enthusiasm. The Lead Person should be approachable by team members while also holding people accountable for meeting safety, quality standards, and production goals.Communicates with all supervisors and team leads regarding production progress, equipment needs, operational concerns, and employee relations. Escalates the issues that need to be resolved.Maintains accurate documentation of production output, machine maintenance, and safety checks.Promotes a clean and organized work area; assists in general housekeeping and all 6S initiatives.Assists with equipment setups and takes responsibility for reviewing the setups.
