Senior Product Manager, New Business The New Businesses team is leading the creation of new, standalone products at CNN, and focused on the creation of separate, non-news experiences that can help enrich our users' lives and drive the subscription business. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and strategic Sr. Product Manager, with experience delivering 0-1, cross-platform, direct-to-consumer products in a fast-paced environment.As a Senior Product Manager for New Business, you will lead product on a cross-functional squad, shipping new features within a product space. You will collaborate with your fellow design, engineering, project, and editorial partners to prioritize delivery of full product experiences on time. You will manage the trade-off process during requirement definition and reviews to ensure releases are delivered against company business goals.This role is on our Health & Wellness squad, developing digital and distinct products to help users live better for longer. This squad is utilizing CNN's expertise in the health and wellness space to inspire users and help them take action to improve their well-being in an easy-to-use and habituating app. The product will cover key pillars of health and wellness, cutting through the noise to bring users trustworthy and actionable information.Your Role AccountabilitiesPartner with stakeholders (research, design, technology, content, senior leadership) to define features, aligning with user needs, value propositions, and market opportunitiesTranslate business needs and user insights into clear, prioritized and actionable product requirements, balancing input from various teamsFacilitate team ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and any additional touchpointsProduce high-quality product artifacts that communicate across multiple functions and levelsDefine key performance indicators and use data to make informed Product and Business decisionsEnsure on-time deliveries and articulate risks and trade-offsBe proactive in partnering with teams around the org to drive deliveryQualifications and ExperienceRecord of evidence-based decisions, creativity in identifying value, and strong judgement about what's worth doingHigh EQ and practiced collaboration skillsComfort with ambiguity and ability to align the team towards actionStrategies to build consensus, even within a complex and matrixed organizationPassion for users' needs and experience with both qualitative and quantitative data to develop product strategy, drive decisions, and validate impactExperience with the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and product discovery to launch and product optimizations post-launchFamiliarity and experience with mobile developmentUnderstanding of subscription business and operationsStrong work ethic and integrity5+ years of digital product management/development experience; media organization familiarity a plus
