PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe intern should be currently enrolled in a technical or post-secondary educational institution, pursuing a degree in a Cad/Cam, Engineering, or Engineering Technology program. The candidate must be proficient in creating two-dimensional drawings using AutoCAD Lite software.REPORTS TO: Engineering DepartmentDIRECT SUPERVISION: NoneKEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:The Engineering Intern will undertake entry-level engineering tasks, which may include:Collecting DataConducting Time StudiesDesigning Fixtures, Tooling, and EquipmentTroubleshooting and Problem SolvingEnsuring Quality AssuranceMaking Recommendations for ImprovementsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Basic Auto CAD or Inventor experienceHands on working desireEngineer mindsetGood attitude, with attention to detailsTrainable for the professional worldThe successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and ability. The Intern position will work a (40) hour work week that will be flexible to accommodate the students' class schedule. The Engineering Departments' work hours are from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
