Job Title: Inventory Control SpecialistDepartment: Warehouse / OperationsEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309Position SummaryThe Inventory Control Specialist supports accurate tracking of raw materials, packaging components, and finished dietary supplement products in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing facility. This role ensures proper lot traceability, material identification, and stock accuracy to support production, quality, and fulfillment operations. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone detail-oriented who wants to learn, contribute, and grow with an expanding manufacturer.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Accuracy & TrackingPerform daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goodsAssist with weekly and monthly physical inventory auditsInvestigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to supervisorsMaintain accurate inventory records in inventory management systemsMaterial Control (cGMP Focus)Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, and material labelsEnsure materials are properly identified with status labels (Quarantine, Released, Rejected)Support lot traceability requirements for regulatory complianceEnsure proper storage conditions are maintained for ingredients and packagingCoordinate with Quality for material status changesReceiving & TransfersAssist in verifying incoming materials against purchase ordersSupport staging and movement of materials to production areasRecord internal transfers between warehouse, production, and QC areasOrganization & StorageMaintain clean and organized warehouse storage areasEnsure materials are stored in designated locationsFollow FIFO/FEFO inventory practicesDocumentation & ComplianceComplete inventory logs and documentation accuratelyFollow SOPs, safety procedures, and cGMP requirementsQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnAbility to follow written instructions and SOPsDependable, organized, and team-orientedPreferredPrevious warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experienceExposure to dietary supplements, food, or pharmaceutical environmentsFamiliarity with inventory systems or ERP softwareForklift certificationPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment for extended periodsCompensation$18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experiencePowered by JazzHR
