Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner

Seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a growing Endocrinology team just north of Portland, Maine, providing comprehensive outpatient care for adult patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders in a collaborative specialty setting. Position Highlights: Provide outpatient endocrine care for adult patients (18+)Manage diabetes, thyroid disease, and other endocrine disordersConduct patient assessments, histories, and physical examinationsOrder and interpret diagnostic testing within scope of practiceDevelop individualized treatment plans for chronic endocrine conditionsProvide diabetes education, lifestyle counseling, and preventive care guidanceManage insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), and insulin pumpsParticipate in shared medical appointments (SMAs) as lead or co-lead providerCollaborate closely with endocrinology physicians and care team membersMaintain accurate documentation within electronic health records Qualifications: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certificationActive and unrestricted state licensure (or eligibility) in MaineBLS certification required and maintainedMinimum 2 years of experience as an NP/PA preferred in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Family Medicine, or Internal MedicineExperience managing insulin regimens, CGMs, and insulin pump therapy strongly preferredProficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systemsStrong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills Compensation & Benefits May Include:Competitive compensation with potential productivity incentivesSign-on bonus available for qualified candidatesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement plan with employer contributionPaid time offCME allowance and professional development supportMalpractice coverage (as applicable)Relocation assistance availableLocation & Lifestyle:Enjoy life in a welcoming Southern Maine community that offers a strong balance of professional opportunity and quality of life.
