Sr. Analyst, Casino Performance

Where passion meets opportunity - the best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail!Your PurposeThis position is responsible for developing and owning various operational, financial, and strategic analyses in support of decision-making for the global Casino department. The analyst will create and report on Casino KPIs, develop financial models, and provide recommendations to leadership to increase revenue and improve efficiency. In partnership with the global Casino team, the analyst will support all global Casino booking channels, which include Partnerships, Independent Reps, and House, as well as any other acquisition methods. The role will play a key role in assessing new and existing partnership proposals, commission structures, and incentive plans.This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office, in Miami.Your ImpactPrepare fact-based written recommendations to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and marketing effectivenessLead revenue initiatives and data-driven projects to increase shipboard revenueCreate, develop, and maintain standard and ad hoc reporting, including performance by channel against track and commission payments.Understand back-end data shipboard and shoreside and interaction with relevant databasesOwn analytical processes and communicate major findings and recommendations in operationally-friendly deliverablesAnalyze operating results by decision-relevant variablesIdentify and quantify opportunities to improve KPIs through information gathering and analysis.Prepare quantitative and qualitative business cases, evaluating new products, services, or providersSummarize variance investigations and assist in the development of action plansCreate and implement benchmark reports for operating groups shoreside and shipboardDevelop operating ratios to monitor performance, benchmarking against industry standardsBuild and maintain financial or other analytical models to predict effects of operational initiativesUtilize quantitative methodologies to model complex business problems and develop recommendationsRecommend and champion best practices to peers and assist in driving change through operationsSupport business cases for new ship builds, dry dock changes, and operational initiativesRepresent Casino when required, specifically with many of the Shared Services departments, to gain support for initiativesAssist with global budget and forecasting work with support from HQPerforms other duties as required.Your Journey so farBachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, or related quantitative field required (BBA or equivalent); MBA or other advanced degree preferred3–5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or analytical roles, including analysis, project planning, and business case development, with at least 2 years leading projects in medium to large organizationsExperience managing cross-functional projects in collaboration with stakeholdersBusiness/financial planning and analysis experience preferred; casino data analytics experience preferredStrong proficiency in query and reporting tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, MS Access, or Hyperion, and data visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred) or TableauAdvanced competency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of database design, information systems, and tools such as Oracle, Hyperion BI Suite, and SAS preferredKnowledge of statistics and predictive behavior modeling, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and systems to develop effective and efficient business solutionsAbility to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and ensure data integrity and accuracy through strong business understandingAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively, proactively communicate timelines and possible delays, facilitate meetings and present solutions in ambiguous, non-standardized situationsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write executive-level reports, articulate data requests, present insights, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationAbility to respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate leadership in promoting financial disciplineAbility to read, analyze, and interpret business, financial, and technical documentsRequirementsInformation About Visa Requirements If AnyUS Passport or US Permanent ResidentsMSC Cruises USA is an e-verify employerMSC Cruises USA is an equal opportunity employer that complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations.
