Head of Cybersecurity

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Cybersecurity to lead our organization’s cybersecurity strategy and operations. The Head of Cybersecurity will be responsible for safeguarding our systems, networks, and data assets against cyber threats and attacks. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in cybersecurity practices, and a deep understanding of risk management and compliance requirements.Roles And Responsibilities Cybersecurity Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Define cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.Risk Management and Compliance:Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks and threats to the organization’s IT infrastructure and data assets.Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations, standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and industry best practices.Security Operations and Incident Response:Oversee security operations, including monitoring, detection, and response to cybersecurity incidents and breaches.Implement incident response plans and protocols to minimize impact and ensure timely recovery.Security Architecture and Technology:Evaluate and recommend cybersecurity technologies, tools, and solutions to enhance security posture.Design and implement security architectures that align with business goals and support scalability and resilience.Cybersecurity Awareness and Training:Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness programs and training sessions for employees to promote a culture of security.Conduct regular security audits and assessments to measure compliance and effectiveness of security controls.Vendor and Third-Party Risk Management:Manage cybersecurity risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers.Perform due diligence assessments and monitor security posture of external partners.Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the cybersecurity team.CompensationCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan contributions, and professional development opportunities.Skills And QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial position.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and solutions.Expertise in security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate cybersecurity risks and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with a focus on collaboration and achieving organizational goals.Additional InformationThis is a full-time position.
