The ideal candidate will have experience supporting intellectual property and litigation attorneys. This is a full-time, non-exempt role in our Tysons office. The anticipated schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with an unpaid lunch break. Required Qualifications Previous experience as a Legal Assistant. Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. Responsibilities USPTO docketing, including tracking deadlines and administering applications. Provide day-to-day secretarial support to the Firm’s attorneys, including scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and processing incoming and outgoing mail. Produce, review, and send legal documents and reports. Enter billable time into timekeeping system. Complete all billing and invoicing tasks in a timely manner. Navigate government and court websites to understand and comply with requirements for filings and procedures. File case documents and close files as needed. Communicate effectively with potential clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Follow established procedures to refer and coordinate conflict checks as needed. Take initiative to reach out to attorneys and staff members who may need assistance. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
