Our Delivery teams are often the last face our guests see in their furniture and mattress buying journey. It is imperative that we have people on these teams who enjoy and understand the importance of delivering our goods in a timely, safe, and satisfactory manner.Tuesday-Saturday Work Schedule (Sundays and Mondays off!) This position will be based out of Olathe, KS for 3-5 months, then will be based out of our new distribution center near Grandview, MO.Job Title: Home Delivery Specialist Reports to: Delivery Manager Purpose of position: Ensure that furniture is transported and transitioned in perfect shape resulting in our guests having a legendary delivery experience plus a more beautiful and comfortable home.Job Type: Full-time, Scheduled days would be Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 am is start time for delivery.Main Objectives:Driving our box truck responsibly with respect to all DOT regulations, property, and landscapingUnloading and setting up new furniture in our clients' home and being respectful of our clients' homeWorking efficiently, safely, and respectfully with a teammate on each deliveryAccurately completing all paperwork (including electronic) related to complete/incomplete deliveries or returns.Create new ideas that will help improve guest experience, delivery efficiency/safety, etc. share them with The Furniture Mall management.Develop long-term customer relationships.Develop new customer leads through referrals from satisfied customers.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredPrefer previous box truck driving experience or experience with large vehiclesStrong Communication skills and ability to work as a teamPositive attitude and strong work ethicAdaptability and ability to work through adverse situationsRequirements:Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds without the aid of another.Drivers must be 21 or older and able to obtain a DOT Health Card (paid for by company) and pass a UAPossess Valid Real ID Driver's license and meet driving history requirements set by insurance company (No CDL required)Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull in the performance of operational dutiesMust be able to sit or stand for up to eight hours at a time while performing work dutiesMust be able to work in various temperatures and environmental conditionsMust have vision and hearing corrected to be able to legally operate a vehicle under various environmental and traffic conditionsMust be able to maintain balance and climb two to eight feet on a ladder in order to place accessories.Must be able to maintain amicable work relationships with fellow employees and perform all essential job functionsUndertake and complete other work-related responsibilities as assigned by managementUndertake and support any policy, change, system, or work rules the company implements regarding the purpose of this positionPay Range: $18-$21 and is based on position (driver versus helper), individual experience, and performance bonuses.Benefits:Best work/life balance ratio of any comparable positionFree Cookies, Custard & Coffee!Family-owned business with none of that corporate attitudeEmployee DiscountsFull-time Benefits:Medical, Dental and Vision insurance401K with Company MatchComplimentary Life InsuranceVacation TimeThree paid Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and EasterWe are an equal opportunity employer and provide a drug free working environment.
